“Mainstage” is a term used in a university or college setting to indicate the main attraction or main performing space. While similar to the Philbin Studio Theatre in that they both present theatrical productions, the venues are offer a completely different experience for the audience.

The theatre is named for Patricia George Decio, wife of Arthur Decio.
