Each semester the University of Notre Dame Chorale and Chamber Orchestra bring classics of the choral literature to campus in refreshingly skillful performances. In repertoire ranging from Renaissance motets to works written by living composers, the Chorale exhibits an impressive range of styles and a high level of artistry.
The Chorale has toured throughout the United States and has journeyed to Itlay, France, Germany, Austria, and New Zealand.
On November 14, the featured work will be Haydn's Te Deum for Empress Marie Therese of 1800. Also on the program are sacred works by Thomas Tallis, William Byrd, George Frideric Handel, Richard Wagner, Giuseppe Verdi, Claude Debussy, Francis Poulenc, and Leonard Bernstein, plus patriotic songs by G. W. Warren, Samuel A. Ward, and John Stafford Smith, and Notre Dame school songs by Joseph J. Casasanta and Michael Shea.
Performance length: 1 hour with no intermission
