New work commissioned by the University of Notre Dame's DeBartolo Performing Arts Center. The Kronos Quartet and Wu Man have explored intersections between their instruments and cultures since 1992. The Yin Yu Tang: A Chinese Home, their next collaboration, is the result of encountering Yin Yu Tang, the 300-year old Chinese residence, which was moved piece by piece from the Huang Village in An Hui Province, China to the Peabody Essex Museum in Massachusetts.
