Interview Requests
The center’s marketing manager can provide you contact information of visiting cinema guests and performing artists. Please contact Marketing at hayden.22@nd.edu or (574) 631-2726 with any requests.
It is best to request information several weeks prior to the event’s date. Both the visiting cinema guests or performing artists and the center must pre-approve requests for interviews. The center reserves the right to refuse media/press access to visiting cinema guests or visiting artists once they arrive on the center’s premises.
Requests for interviews with center staff must be sent to Marketing at hayden.22@nd.edu or (574) 631-2726 for approval. If approved, the center will contact you to schedule a time and location for the interview.
Performance Review Guidelines
Members of recognized media outlets may receive two complimentary tickets for the sole purpose of conducting a review of that specific performance or film programmed by the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center. Availability of complimentary tickets varies with particular performances. Reviewer tickets are not available for Metropolitan Opera: Live in High Definition screenings. Sold-out performances may result in no reviewer tickets being available. To request tickets, contact Marketing at hayden.22@nd.edu or (574) 631-2726.
The center reserves the right to issue a temporary media credential to reviewers once they are on the center’s premise.
Photo and Video Guidelines
As a general rule, no photography or videotaping of events is allowed. On rare occasions, however, the center may negotiate with visiting cinema guests or visiting artists to obtain limited permission for media photography. Requests must be made 24 business hours prior to Marketing at hayden.22@nd.edu or (574) 631-2726.
If approved, the photographer/videographer must arrive one hour prior to the event’s start time. The photographer/videographer will receive a temporary media credential that will be available at the center’s Ticket Office. Media credentials must be worn at all times.
Any media representatives who attempt to photograph or videotape performances without credentials will be asked to leave the facility immediately.
Once photographers have been credentialed, a center staff member will escort them to the best location for shooting. For some performances, photographer mobility may be limited in order to ensure that patrons and artists are not disturbed.
If the visiting cinema guests or performing artists does not allow photography, as is often the case, the center may be able to provide performance photos to media outlets. Please contact Marketing at hayden.22@nd.edu or (574) 631-2726 with requests for photography.
