
Historic Washington Hall continues a proud tradition of providing the University of Notre Dame with countless hours of entertainment and intellectual stimulation.
The hall has presented speakers ranging from Henry James,
William Butler Yeats, William Jennings Bryan, Tennessee Williams and Pete
Seeger. Beginning with the 1882 production of
Oedipus Tyrannus, performances are still staged by student music
and drama organizations.

Washington Hall is operated under the direction of the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center in cooperation with the University of Notre Dame Student Activities Office. The Washington Hall Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the hall’s venues and resources.
To successfully and safely manage events in Washington Hall, overall calendar and staffing obligations are considered when reviewing scheduling requests.
Mainstage Auditorium
To request a booking for the Mainstage Auditorium in Washington Hall, the
event details form (.xls) must be completed and submitted to the Washington Hall Manager.
Lab Theatre and Rehearsal Hall
To request a booking for the Lab Theatre and Rehearsal Hall, student clubs, organizations and residence halls must be made through
