An American family seeks a house to rent in England as the father brings the family there while he conducts an opera. The Curtis family looks for a house to rent in England while their patriarch Paul, a music composer, conducts an opera. While househunting, they come about secluded manor near a forest owned by the eccentric Mrs. Aylwood (Bette Davis, in a bit of inspired casting). The house, however, comes with some unlisted supernatural elements and sisters track down the source of the paranormal happenings. Routinely cited as one of the more bizarre and creepier titles in the Disney canon.
