Brooklyn Rider Presenting Series
Founded in 2008, iconoclastic Brooklyn Rider surpasses previous milestones in excellence by approaching the string quartet with an omnivores appetite — a medium with deep historical roots, it inspires endless possibilities for invention.

The ensemble delivers spirited performances satisfying audiences from SXSW to Carnegie Hall. Projects range from collaborating with Swedish mezzo-soprano Anne Sofie von Otter and retired New York City Ballet prima ballerina Wendy Whelan to 2021's Grammy-nominated recording Healing Modes featuring Beethoven's towering Opus 132 interlaced with new commissions exploring subjects like U.S.-Mexico border conflict and the mental health epidemic. The quartet's versatility is one of the wonders of current music.

Recommended for ages 5 and up.

Co-sponsored by the Department of Music. Made possible by the Renaldo-Ferguson Family Endowment for the Performing Arts.
