Actors From The London Stage presents Much Ado About Nothing
September 9 - 11, 2026
Presenting Series
Exuberant, joyful, and above all, ravishingly entertaining, Much Ado About Nothing is one of Shakespeare's most celebrated and enduringly popular comedies. This delightful romp deftly explores notions of identity, marriage, and communication through the sparring between Benedick and Beatrice, two of Shakespeare's most gloriously realized characters. With its piquant blend of prickly banter, mistaken identities, and swoon-worthy romance, Much Ado About Nothing is sheer theatrical delight.
Much Ado About Nothing is brought to life by Actors From The London Stage, the renowned 5-actor touring group founded in 1975 by Dr. Homer "Murph" Swander and Sir Patrick Stewart, along with many other celebrated actors from the Royal Shakespeare Company. This remarkable company has called Shakespeare at Notre Dame its artistic home since 2000, and travels to multiple colleges and universities nationwide twice annually. Each member of this self-directed ensemble assumes multiple roles while favoring minimal props and costumes, creating a theatrical experience unlike any other.
