Assistive Listening Devices

Infrared assistive listening devices are available free of charge to the hearing impaired for all venues except the Reyes Organ and Choral Hall. Upon request, a portable system can be made available for the Reyes Organ Hall if requested two weeks in advance. The device may be used with or without a hearing aid from any seat in the venue.

American Sign Language (ASL) Interpretation

American Sign Language interpretation is scheduled for select Presenting Series performances at the center throughout the year. Requests for additional sign language services must be made through the Ticket Office (574-631-2800) at least two weeks prior to the performance. These requests are subject to availability of an interpreter and are provided at the discretion of management.

To request an Assisted Listening Device or ASL interpretation, please do one of the following:

  • Add a request in the seating notes when purchasing tickets online, or
  • *Email your request to Guest Services at pacusher@nd.edu, or
  • *Submit your request through the contact form under Accessibility Accommodations, or
  • Ask an usher prior to being seated at your performance or film.

*If sending an email or contact form request, please include your name, event name, and order number (if applicable).

Accessible Seating Requests

Patrons requiring assistance selecting seats in ASL locations, with room for service animals, near power outlets, avoiding stair locations, or any other accessibility requests, should contact the Ticket Office at (574) 631-2800.

Wheelchair Accessible Entrances + Seating

All venues at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center are fully accessible. As you purchase or order your tickets, please let the Ticket Office know of any specific seating requests. Armless chairs are available upon request.

The main entrances of the center are equipped with power doors. Each of our venues has accessible entrances. The usher staff will assist in directing you to the accessible entrance closest to your seats.

There is an elevator, located off the main lobby, which will allow you to access the balcony and mezzanine levels of the center. The Ticket Office staff can help you in selecting seating that best meets your individual needs.

Courtesy Wheelchair

A courtesy wheelchair is available for our patrons to assist with movement to and from assigned seats while they are at the center. To reserve a wheelchair, please call the Ticket Office at (574) 631-2800. If your party needs more than two wheelchairs, please contact Campus Security at (574) 631-5555 for further assistance.

Accessible Parking

Designated parking spaces for vehicles with valid state disability parking permits are available adjacent to the center. Parking spaces are available on a first-come basis. There are also accessible spaces in lots just north of the center.

Accessible Restrooms

All restrooms in the center are wheelchair accessible. They are conveniently located off the main and upper lobbies. All restrooms are equipped with a baby changing station.

Single-occupancy Restrooms

Please ask an usher, and they will direct you to the nearest location.

Large Print Programs

Large print programs are available at select Presenting Series performances. Please feel free to request one from an usher when you arrive at a venue.
