Roughly a decade ago, Alê Abreu released The Boy and the World, his second feature film. It won a wheelbarrow of festival prizes and was a surprise Academy Award Nominee in 2016. Perlimps marks his return to writing and directing feature films, and creating fantastic worlds. Here, the story focuses on Claé and Bruô, secret agents from enemy Kingdoms, who must overcome their differences and combine forces to find the loveable creatures—the Perlimps—and infiltrate a world controlled by Giants that is on the verge of a terrible war.
