Adapted and directed by Emerald Fennell, who won an Oscar for writing Promising Young Woman and won a lot of fans for rethinking baths in Saltburn, this romantic period piece is composed of many anachronistic periods and plenty of romance. Based on just the first half of Emily Brontë's classic 1847 novel, Fennell wanted to give the vibes of a young girl reading the intense and destructive relationship between Catherine and Heathcliff, where played by Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi which naturally quickly allows the novel about heartthrobs to translate easily to the screen.
