The DeBartolo Performing Arts Center is hosting its first Business After Hours event Wednesday, November 14 from 4–6 p.m. in partnership with South Bend Regional Chamber.
We invite you to be a part of this opportunity where the spotlight is on making the connections to help you identify new talent, develop your career, and deepen your contact list. A cash bar and complimentary hors d’oeuvres are provided. The event takes place in the Philbin Studio Theatre, named for its benefactor Regis Philbin. It is one of five state-of-the-art venues at the Center. See what it’s like to be center stage when you walk onto the Leighton Concert Hall stage during VIP tours at 4:45 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. led by Ted Barron, executive director of the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center.
Barron said, “This event is another this season designed to welcome people who haven’t been to the Center before or visited us in a while. We hope those that attend Business After Hours will recognize us as not only an attraction for the Notre Dame community but also as a cultural destination for the entire region.” Business After Hours is a popular Chamber program that typically attracts 125–150 business owners and professionals to member locations for an early evening of informal networking.
With the enthusiastic turnout at August’s Arts Night Out, a free evening showcasing the Center’s local arts partners and the Presenting Series season, plus Notre Dame’s commitment to growing the south campus arts district that the Center has anchored since 2004, Barron spoke about the new developments bringing the arts front and center in the South Bend region. “Bringing people together in shared experiences that inspire or intrigue someone and open dialogue is one of the most important things that we can do today,” he said. “That’s reflected in our mission, partnerships, and events like this one where we’re being intentional about welcoming the business community to the Center.”
Depending on arrival time, there are several free parking options for Business After Hours guests that are a short walk from the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center. One hour visitor parking is available at the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore off of Notre Dame Avenue all day. After 4 p.m. the Visitor Lot, located east of Legends of Notre Dame between the Eddy Street and Joyce Drive entrances to campus is also free.
Guests arriving after 4:45 p.m. will find gated lots open as well. Those nearest the Center include the Stayer and Stadium lots. Consult directions and parking for additional information.
Admission is complimentary for South Bend Regional Chamber members and $30 for non-members. Non-members may also pay at the door. Registrations are already pouring in—be sure to attend!
