New at the Browning
Directed by Ryan Olivier, Jean Vigo, and Patrick Chin Ting Chan
Not Rated, 60 minutes, DCP

IU South Bend's Audio Visual Collective (AVC) returns to the Browning with three unique approaches to combining live performance with film. The AVC will perform an original live score to the 1930s poetic documentary À propos de Nice, offering new musical commentary to this film classic. The group will also present two recent works, Water Dust by Patrick Chin Ting Chan and Dance Suite by Ryan Olivier. In both, the actions of performers affect the music they are creating together while also alter the image to which they are reacting. Together, these works offer three fresh perspectives to the Film+Soundtrack paradigm.

This is a free but ticketed event. Tickets will be available for pick-up at the Ticket Office one hour prior to the performance. To guarantee your seat, please pick up your tickets at least 15 minutes prior to the show. In the event of a sell-out, unclaimed tickets will be used to seat patrons waiting on standby.

Co-sponsored by the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts at IU South Bend, the Meg and John P. Brogan Endowment for Classic Cinema.
