Special Event

Get ready for an unforgettable celebration at Notre Dame. The DeBartolo Performing Arts Center is excited to invite you to our Juneteenth Celebration and Resource Fair. On Friday, June 13, we're hosting our third Juneteenth commemoration—you won't want to miss it.

From 3:30–6:30 p.m., we'll feature approximately 50 incredible local businesses and organizations to support. Additionally, food trucks will serve delicious bites while you enjoy music spun by a live DJ. We can't wait to celebrate and share this special day with you. We hope to see you there, so RSVP now and mark your calendar.

Juneteenth commemorates the enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in the westernmost Confederate state of Texas by Union troops who arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas, on June 19, 1865, two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln issued the Proclamation. Juneteenth represents our country's second Independence Day.

RSVP now. This is a free, not ticketed event.

Co-Sponsored by the Institute for Social Concerns and the Office of Institutional Transformation.
