New at the Browning
Directed by Yuval Abraham, Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal, Rachel Szor
Not Rated, 92 minutes, DCP

A nominee for Best Documentary at this year's Academy Awards, No Other Land is a documentary from the collective work of four filmmakers/activists. Focusing on the community of Msafer Yatta, which is located in the southern part of the West Bank, the film chronicles resistance and survival of residents who are saturated in violence. Filmed over the course of many years, No Other Land also highlights the close friendship between Basel Adra, a young Palestinian activist, and Yuval Abraham, a Jewish Israeli journalist, as they work together to tell both the overarching narratives and smaller stories within their community. Their relationship stands as an inspiration for forging alliances under extreme duress.
This is a free but ticketed event. To guarantee your seat, please pick up your tickets at least 15 minutes prior to the show, at which point your unclaimed tickets may be used to seat patrons waiting on standby. Tickets will be available for pick-up at the Ticket Office beginning one hour prior to the performance.
