This 1980s horror film was pulled together to capitalize on an April Fool's Day release. That odd gimmick led to a cult slasher-slash-mystery that would echo through later franchises like Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer. A rich schoolmate named Muffy, as many rich schoolmates in the 1980s were named, invites her fellow co-eds to a remote island estate. Ever a prankster, Muffy sets up pranks for the visitors upon arrival until the visitors start disappearing one by one.
