The 2020−2021 DeBartolo Performing Arts Center Presenting Series season offers 31 performances in a variety of genres, ranging from a cappella choral music to a recital by one of the world’s most revered living instrumentalists to audience favorites in popular music, dance, and family programming.

The series opens and closes with stars of Broadway, film, and TV. Triple-threats Tony-nominee Matthew Morrison (Glee, Hairspray) and Tony-winner Patina Miller (Pippin, Sister Act) bring personal programs of their favorite songs for music and musical theater fans.

Fred Hersch Trio, The Boston Pops on Tour, and violinist Jennifer Koh plan highly-anticipated appearances after their dates were canceled as part of the Center’s coronavirus response.

Irish Theatre of Chicago returns with two searing social commentaries by acclaimed Irish playwrights. Marie Jones’s tragicomedy Stones in His Pockets satirizes American cultural imperialism against the backdrop of Ireland’s rural decline. Marble, by Marina Carr, cuts to the quick of a pair of materialistic modern marriages where fidelity and friendship are on a collision course.

Frequently requested artist, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, finally makes his Presenting Series debut in a once-in-a-lifetime recital with long-time collaborator pianist Kathryn Stott.

Executive Director Ted Barron moved the season announcement online after the cancellation of the April 8 season-closing performance by The Boston Pops on Tour. It’s traditional that the upcoming season is revealed during the final Presenting Series show.

See the complete season roster here. Choose-Your-Own (CYO) season tickets begin on Monday, May 11, 2020. CYO tickets require a minimum purchase of three eligible events. Single tickets go on sale Monday, July 20, 2020.
