After a decade away, Puss returns, albeit a little worse for the wear. His adventures snuffed out eight of his nine lives, and he's become accurately aware of his mortality. Despite Death literally hanging over his shoulder in a nod to Sergio Leone's Westerns, his unsinkability is further buoyed by Perrito (Harvey Guillén), a dauntless chihuahua whose perceived dimness may mask his wisdom. Reuniting with Kitty Softclaws (Salma Hayek), Puss again takes a romp through the storybook with Goldilocks, Little Jack Horner, and other tales incorporated into this latest version of Puss in Boots.
